Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine has a unique style that blends R&B with soul, gospel music, and R&B. Sunshine has performed everywhere from Broadway through the Democratic National Convention to the European scene of clubs and festivals. The real name of Sunshine is Denise White. Though she's located in Atlanta however, her roots lie located in Chester Pennsylvania. There she started to pursue the musical profession by as a singer and pianist at church. After attending Spellman College, Atlanta she started her journey in music on Atlanta's R&B culture. The Fighting Temptations The first single to feature her vocals was called Stalk You A house 12 released only in Japan It was later remixed by a variety of producers and has become the mainstay in her live show. Her voice has also been a part of singing on The Fighting Temptations' soundtrack. In 2005, she became the keyboardist in Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, a Grammy as well as Tony Award winning vocalist who has worked on stage production Dreamgirls in the National Black Arts Festival of Atlanta in 2007, contacted her about being the director of the choral group for the stage production. Sunshine was noticed by the nation during four performances per day at the 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine followed up with being asked to sing in the presence of President Barack Obama at his inauguration.
