Aisha Jamila is an American actor who is most well recognized for her appearances in TV series The Shield and True Blood. Since her 2003 debut she has demonstrated her range in acting giving outstanding performances in television series like 9-1-1 Detroit 1--8-7 as well as Under the Dome. She was first noticed for her character Anna in the 2005 movie Assault on Precinct 13. Her performance in the biographical film All the Way as the feminist activist Fannie Lou Hammer brought her to the notice of the general public. Hind has also been recognized for her role played in the role of Harriet Tubman within WGN America's historical drama series Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. The show is renewed for its third series by 20th Century Fox Television. Recently Hind completed filming for the Hollywood movie Godzilla: King of the Monsters which is scheduled for a release in the mid-year of 2019. His father Krishnaraj is an Army scientist, who died the 18th of March, 2017. The mother Vrinda was a housewife. She has an older brother Aditya Rai, who is an engineer for the Merchant Navy. Her older brother, Aditya Rai coproduced and cowrote Dil Ka Rishta along with their mother. Arya Vidya Mandir School was her school of choice in Mumbai after she moved there along with her parents. Jai Hind College in Mumbai was where she completed her secondary schooling in one year, before she began at D.G. Ruparel College, Matunga. The college scored 91% on her H.S.C. exams. She took classes in music and classical dancing for five of her years as an adolescent. Zoology was one of her subjects. Bachchan was a student of architecture when in 1994 she won the title of Miss World. She was catapulted into modeling's highest rung by winning the title. She also received the lucrative offer from L'Oreal Paris as spokesmodel in 2003. Two of the first films she made in her professional career were Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya and Iruvar. Both films defied the basic form that was prevalent in Bollywood films of the day, propelling Bachchan to prominence in the New Bollywood. Bachchan became the queen of Bollywood because of her heartbreaking portrayal as Paro the character of the love of her life for the character of Paro in Devdas (2002) which is one of Bollywood's biggest-hitting movies. Devdas also happened to be the first Bollywood film shown at Cannes Film Festival. Chokher Bali (2003) was her next film that she won acclaim. The film is a suspense based on Rabindranath tagore's novel. In the following year, she was appointed as the first Indian actor on the Cannes Film Festival Jury. Bachchan played the lead role on the screen in Gurinder Chatha's Bride and Prejudice. It was a musical as well as dance version of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. Bachchan's beauty and stardom were then brought together in her first English film. Prior to releasing Provoked: A True Story 2006 in English, she went back to Bollywood to star as a co-star in Dhoom: 2 (2006 smash success). Abhishek Bachchan is a Bollywood actor and often co-star. Also, he is the son of Amitabh Bachchan.
